Wilson-Covington Begins Work on Skeet Field

Wilson-Covington has broken ground on a regulation skeet shooting field in the Piedmont of North Carolina. This field is being built to National Skeet Shooting Association standards and will feature concrete shooting stations and sidewalk, houses constructed of rough sawn board and batten lumber to match barns on the property, and metal roofs.

Wilson-Covington has a long tradition of being involved in the shooting sports as Hayes Wauford, the Vice-President of Operations, is a 3-Time World Champion Skeet Shooter. Hayes’ interest in shooting sports was passed down from his grandfather Clay Ring, Owner and President of Wilson-Covington. This personal interest combined with experience on all size commercial and residential projects makes Wilson-Covington the perfect choice for any sporting venue construction in the Carolinas. This may include hunting and fishing lodges, clubhouses, skeet, trap, and sporting clays fields.
